Upcoming Exhibition:

Debbie Jenkinson  -  Castles in the Air
From May 24th

These original watercolour paintings were first made for a series of fairy tales. The stories are well-loved classics (including The Emperor’s New Clothes and Pinocchio)- never forgotten, once read - and while they are re-imagined for a new audience here, they have a strong nostalgic appeal to those revisiting the stories, too.

Debbie Jenkinson is an illustrator and comic-maker, living in Dublin.
She loves sequential art; her chosen media are animation and comics but a stick in the sand will do in a pinch. Stories and how we use them to understand the world we live in are endlessly fascinating to her. Having cut her teeth in an animation studio in the States, she returned Ireland where as part of her Masters in the NCAD, she began to explore digital media as a way of pushing narrative into new formats. She is the creator of the online comic REMORSE, which updates bi-weekly, and provides illustrations to clients, most recently the Irish Daily Mail.
