What are the Box Office opening hours?

Normal Box Office opening hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 11am- 4pm. During July and August, Monday – Friday, 11am – 4pm. Closed for lunch 1.30pm – 2.30pm. We are also open for an hour before, and during, performances.

How do I learn more about the programme and upcoming shows?

We update our website regularly with all of the upcoming shows in our theatre. We also issue a programme at the Box Office. For more information you can also check our social media channels. Find us on Instagram and Facebook.

Do you offer discounts to students, seniors, and the unwaged?

Yes. Concessions vary by performance. You can choose one of these options when purchasing tickets online or at the Box Office.

Can I purchase gift vouchers for dlr Mill Theatre?

Gift vouchers can be purchased in person at the Box Office, over the phone or online. We also accept Dundrum Town Centre Gift Cards.

Can I volunteer with dlr Mill Theatre?

As a charity, people are our most important asset. Volunteers play a particularly important role in the work of the dlr Mill Theatre. We also have a wonderful team of voluntary ushers who give up their precious evenings to help us out and make your experience with dlr Mill Theatre special. How can I support dlr Mill Theatre?

Location

Where is dlr Mill Theatre located?

The theatre is located in Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, just across the Mill Pond. We’re opposite McDonald’s and the cinema, beside Milano. Look for a pink sign and glass doors.

Where can I park?

There are many parking facilities in the surrounding areas. You can use the Dundrum Town Centre Green and Red Car Parks, or Sandyford Road Car Park, which is just across the road.

What public transportation links come to dlr Mill Theatre?

The 14, 14C, 44, 44B, 75, 175 bus routes will take you directly to Dundrum Town Centre or Dundrum Main Street. You can also take the Luas to Dundrum or Balally, for a short walk to our theatre.

Accessibility

Is dlr Mill Theatre wheelchair accessible?

Yes, wheelchair seats are located at the front of the auditorium near the door. You can get to your seat by taking the lift down to the ground level.

Is there a lift?

Yes, the lift is available for use by all of our patrons and accesses all levels of the theatre.

Is there assistance provided to get to my seat?

Yes. Our brilliant team will assist you with any of your needs, navigating the theatre and finding your seat. For wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties, a more accessible entrance to the front seats of the auditorium is available, if needed. We recommend that you contact the Box Office before your visit for a smoother experience.

What fees may apply to my ticket purchase?

Except for the price of the ticket, there is a €1 service charge when purchasing online or by phone.

If a show is sold out, is there a cancellation or waiting list available?

Yes. You can call or email the Box Office, or visit in person, to leave your details. We will contact you if a seat becomes available.

Do I need to purchase a ticket for my child?

Every person, no matter how small, needs a ticket. For many of our performances, tickets are free for children under 2, though this is at the discretion of the producer. For some shows, especially those aimed at very young children, there may be a charge. Please contact the Box Office if you have any queries or concerns when you are booking.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, cash, Dundrum Town Centre Gift Cards, and our own dlr Mill Theatre Gift Vouchers. Gift vouchers are available for purchase at the Box Office.

How do I receive my tickets?

All tickets are available for collection at the Box Office an hour before the performance. When the auditorium doors are open, a member of our team will validate your ticket. Please note that your email confirmation of purchase is NOT your ticket.

How can I make a group booking?

Bookings of 10 or more can be made via phoning the Box Office. Please note this depends on the performance and rates are subject to change.

Can tickets be exchanged or refunded?

We do not offer refunds or exchanges.  However, in case of a sold out show, we may be able to resell your tickets and refund your purchase. Contact the box office if you have any queries.

Are all seat prices the same?

Yes. Preferred seats are mostly availed on a first come first served basis.

Are all ticket prices the same?

Concession prices for students, seniors, and the unwaged vary by performance. You can choose one of these options when purchasing tickets online or at the Box Office.

Do any seats have restricted viewing?

Yes. At the very front, row BB is at ground level behind row AA. Moreover, some patrons may find our back two rows, H and J, restricting. Our ticketing offers on a first come, first served basis, so we urge you to consider this when deciding to book a seat.

What happens if the show is cancelled or postponed?

As soon as we are made aware of such, we will contact all those who have booked tickets and issue refunds in due course. Any further information on said performance will be sent to these patrons and posted online.

The performance

May I take photos and/or videos?

Strictly no photography or recording is permitted during performances. Phones must be completely switched off, unless stated otherwise.

What time do auditorium doors open ahead of a performance?

We aim to open the doors 15 – 20 minutes before each performance. All patrons will then have their physical card ticket validated by our team.

What is our latecomer policy?

Depending on the nature of the performance, latecomers may be seated immediately or they may need to wait for the interval to be allowed entrance to the auditorium. Please ensure you arrive at least fifteen minutes before the performance to avoid disappointment. If you are required to wait, you may do so at the bar. The performances are shown live on the bar television.

In the Theatre

Does dlr Mill Theatre have a bar?

Yes. The bar is located on the lowest floor of our theatre. The bar is open an hour before the show, throughout the performance, and afterwards (except when a show is performed by, or for, children). To avoid queuing during the interval you can pre-order your drinks before the show starts.

Can I have a post-show drink?

Yes. Our bar stays open after the performance for your convenience, unless the show is performed by, or for, children.

Are there baby changing facilities available in the theatre?

Yes, there is a baby changing unit in the accessible toilet. There are also baby changing facilities in Dundrum Town Centre.

Do you offer drinks during an intermission?

Yes. Our bar is open for your enjoyment and convenience. We recommend that you order your interval drinks before the show begins for a smoother experience. Drinks can then be brought back into the auditorium in a plastic cup.

Does the theatre provide free Wi-Fi?

Yes. The theatre has free Wi-Fi for all of our patrons. Please enquire at the Box Office or the bar for more information.

What is the policy tips and gratuity at the theatre?

Tips are most welcome and shared evenly among concerned members of staff.

Are food and drink available to purchase at the dlr Mill Theatre?

Yes. Our bar provides a selection of drinks and confectionery for purchase.

Can I bring my own food to the theatre?

Food or drink purchased outside the theatre is not permitted to be consumed on the premises. Hot drinks, even purchased from the bar, are not permitted inside the auditorium or the studio. No glass is allowed in the auditorium or the studio. Any glass from the bar must be exchanged for plastic cups upon entry into the auditorium.

What drinks can I bring into the auditorium?

You can purchase alcoholic and soft drinks in the bar. These can be brought into the auditorium in a plastic cup. No hot drinks are permitted in the auditorium.

Do I need a face mask to enter the theatre?

Face masks are not required under the current guidelines, but welcome the use of them to keep all safe.
