We’re delighted to announce two relaxed performances of our Christmas show PINOCCHIO this December.
Relaxed Performances are specially adapted to be accessible to a wide range of audiences such as those with autism, those with a learning disability or anyone with a sensory predisposition, with dedicated quiet areas inside the theatre should anyone need to leave their seat.
The atmosphere & adjustments include:
- Adjustments to the show, such as reduced sound levels, special effects, and other technical adaptations that soften contrasts.
- This performance supports noise and movement within the auditorium during the show and allows audiences to leave and re-enter as they need to.
- House lights will be kept on at a low level throughout to support movement.
- Chill-out spaces will be available in front of house areas.
- There will be a pre-show announcement from the cast to welcome you to the theatre and familiarise you with the show.
- A visual story that will explain what to expect at the show will be available two weeks prior to the performance.

Relaxed Performances for our upcoming Christmas classic production of Pinocchio, means adjusting lights and sound for a calm space. Feel free to move, make noise, take breaks or come and go as you please. No judgment, just comfort.
For us, accessibility isn’t an afterthought, it’s at our core. For our community, this means families and those with sensory sensitivities, neurodivergence, learning differences, anxiety, or anyone who prefers a gentler setting can all enjoy live theatre together.
These shows make our space warmer, our community stronger, and our stories go further. Everyone belongs here – exactly as they are.
