A Midsummer Night’s Dream – Shakespeare in the Park

This production will be performed in Walled Garden, St. Enda’s Park, Grange Road, Rathfarnham D16 Y7Y5

Balally Players Theatre Company, based in Dundrum, presents one of Shakespeare’s most popular comedies ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ as their Summer Shakespeare in the Park. It is performed in the enchanting surroundings of the Walled Garden, St. Enda’s Park, under the direction of Gerard Bourke, assisted by Joanne Keane.

Seating is provided, but bring a picnic and a blanket, and go back in time to follow along the tale of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ – the preposterous play where “the course of true love never did run smooth”!  On a night filled with Midsummer madness, bewildered aristocratic lovers find themselves lost in a dreamscape filled with supernatural beings, comic actors rehearsing, and mischievous elves spreading enchantment, confusion, and yearnings for true love.

Attendees are asked to dress for the weather and prepare for a wonderful evening of theatre in a magical outdoors setting.

Balally Players Theatre Company is delighted to be back at the stunning venue of St. Enda’s Park, Pearse Museum, Grange Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16, D16 Y7Y5, and hope you enjoy the production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.
